Ma Nyande Women's Development Organization (MNWDO) drives economic empowerment for women farmers in Sierra Leone through Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) and capacity-building initiatives. Operating in rural areas like Bo and Falaba Districts, we equip women with the tools to save, access loans, and plan agricultural activities, fostering economic independence and resilience.
Our VSLA program brings women together for weekly savings, loan access, and financial planning, enabling them to fund farming inputs, equipment, and agro-processing ventures like cassava starch production. By integrating financial literacy with agricultural training, MNWDO helps women transform their farms into sustainable businesses.
MNWDO’s economic empowerment initiatives go beyond savings, enabling women to invest in climate-smart tools, like gender-friendly power tillers, and participate in income-generating projects. By fostering financial independence, we are helping women in Sierra Leone build stronger communities and lead the way in agricultural transformation.
