Ma Nyande Women's Development Organization (MNWDO) champions climate-smart agriculture and regenerative practices in Sierra Leone, empowering women farmers in Bo and Falaba Districts to build resilience against climate challenges. This project focuses on sustainable farming techniques, agro-waste reuse, and reducing emissions to enhance food security and livelihoods.
Supported by UN Women and the Women in Agriculture Network (WiAN-SL), MNWDO provides training on regenerative agriculture and climate-smart practices. The project gained international recognition through a panel at the Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF) in Dakar in 2025, where MNWDO highlighted the role of women and youth in driving a green economy. By integrating Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) and seed distribution, the initiative ensures sustainable impact.
